 HEROES AMONGST US: The founding fathers of our agency were forward thinking in knowing what our needs would be for our residential services when they built our homes. This has allowed us to be flexible during these tough times in the pandemic when staffing was short, and we had to pull together and shelter in to keep our residents safe. Our homes were built to accommodate more people than those that live there daily. We are grateful for our Direct Support Staff; without them, our agency would not survive; They are the backbone of our organization, and we depend on them daily to be there as a constant for our residents. To be kind, supportive, caring, responsible, and giving. The Residents at Carter County Group Homes do not ask for much; they are grateful for the smallest of things. They are the most forgiving and thankful of anyone I have ever met. They appreciate the warm, dry, clean homes they live in. All they really want is the constant care of kind, supportive Direct Support Staff. As administrators, it is our job to seek out those people. The ones that can make this happen and have an open heart to serve and do whatever it takes to keep the most vulnerable from becoming a statistic. I am humbled to say that we have some of the best in the field here at CCGH. This is the primary reason for this Seasonal Giving Campaign - to help raise funds for operating expenses to sustain quality direct support staff.
